I was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid at 29. That became a hypoactive thyroid after medical treatment. Many holistic doctors say thyroid conditions indicate an autoimmune disease and I should not eat gluten. I tested negative for Celiacs diseas…

Yea, I ended up having to give up tuna. :( I think it hurt worse than giving up gluten! I can have a small amount (maybe a third or a half a can) mixed in with stuff, like casseroles or something, but yea, I think it was the iodine.

Iodine alone is a great provoker. I was giving someone Betadine which is gel form of iodine and showing them how it looked etc and spread a blob over my hand. A few days later a nasty eruption of trouble on sole of foot. I came across the link by ac…

I find that limiting my salt intake also helps my DH. it is so bad that before I went GF I wore scarves (almost like a hijab) over my head and neck so that people wouldn't see the bald spots, the blisters (we call them celiac itchies at my house, lo…

I suffered with DH for 10 years. I had been misdiagnosed with contact dermatitis, eczema, even sunburn(?!). Both my shins were red continuously. I would have outbreaks of small blisters filled with clear fluid. My skin was very dry and flaky. They w…

The social problems this eruption causes is beyond belief.... I end up totally flaked out, energy totally zapped from me and blistered! Not very nice atall! bad enough not being able to eat regu… Continue
