Rodelle Gourmet Vanilla Extract is a good brand. Not certified organic but they do use recycled plastic containers and support wind energy initiatives. I've often used the product in my baked goods for The Gluten Free Bread Factory

I use Flavorganics extracts. They are gluten-free. The item you are concerned about is the grain base of the alcohol that is used to make the extract mainly. Color if there is any in it is also important to look at.

I've seen gluten free vanilla in health food stores for quite a while and, for the life of me, I don't know why. Anything I've read doesn't show gluten in most the stuff you can buy on the regular shelves for 1/3 the price.

What ingredient is it that makes vanilla extract have gluten or not have gluten?  I was originally told it was caramel color, but McCormick's vanilla is labelled gluten free even with that in it.  And I can't seem to find a GF organic vanilla anymor…

Thanks for the warning! Since my sensitivity has gone from zero to 100 since I last ate their bread I should prolly steer clear. I'm really going to miss it though :(
