It's not the waitstaff. You would need to inquire with the manager. If the manager of a restaurant does not educate it staff, then you cannot blame a random waiter or waitress. I understand the frust…

- I am a Gluten-Free gal living in New York City. I am spunky, fun, creative, hilarious, friendly and smart. I can be described as many things: multifaceted, a loyal friend, genuine, "a trip", hysterical and life of the party. My hobbies are baking, cooking, reading (fiction, non-fiction), designing clothes, collecting vintage clothing and accessories, seeing great movies, live music, music, discovering new indie bands, crafts, art fairs, going to flea markets, dive bars, lounges, dancing, karaoke, hidden gem restaurants and blogging to the world about my Gluten-Free adventures (www.goodiegoodiegluten-free.blogspot.com ). I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in June of 2006 and since then my life has never been better. I am not one to take life too seriously, I am very sarcastic and I like silliness. I am a big fan of Larry David and Chelsea Handler, but when it's time to get serious, I am there in a heartbeat. I am warm, caring, personable, genuine and honest and I will always tell you like it is.
I am new to Gluten-Free Faces and my main reasoning for joining was the hope to meet someone romantically who is gluten-free as well. I am on Jdate and Match, but I have never dated someone else who was Gluten-free like me. It would be nice. : ) If not, then I am here like everyone else-to network.

- Cooking, baking, creating, music, live music, art galleries, art shows, anything vintage, shopping, designing clothes, reading (The Sookie Stackhouse Books, Running with Scissors, Chelsea Handler, everything from Tori Spelling to Augusten Burroughs), brunch, restaurants, karaoke, dancing, working out, animals, movies, T.V.: Curb, LOST, Weeds, Arrested Development, The Office, Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, True Blood, Cougar Town, Six Feet Under, Big Love, Entourage, Hung, Bored To Death (anything HBO). Movies: 500 Days of Summer, Garden State, American Beauty, What Happens In Vegas, Bridewars, The Twilight Saga, Wedding Crashers, Shallow Hal, John Tucker Must Die, Meet the Parents, Yes Man, Elizabethtown, The 40 year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, I Love You, Man (saw this four times in the theaters) and a zillion more. I am a huge movie and T.V. buff, but I love activities and adventure. My latest addiction is shopping online. It's easy and not time consuming, which leaves the rest of my day for adventure.
I like to travel and would like to do much more then I already do. My travel interests have changed. As I used to LOVE to only go to resorts and warm places, I now want to see so much: New Orleans, Amsterdam, Paris, Greece and other fun places. Don't get me wrong I heart West Palm Beach and Miami and I frequent those places, but I am looking forward to seeing the world.

Websites: I go to all gluten-free websites I can find by looking and finding out info about the product, but I prefer to go and find it myself. I am in NYC which has a lot of resources. I LOVE Westerly Natural Market in nyc on 54th and 8th ave. Way, Way better then Whole foods, and they really are dedicated to having almost every product and brand that is gluten-free.

- Favorite Gluten-Free Foods
- Glutino Pretzels, Glutino Bagels, Blue Diamond Nut Thins, My own personal recipes (check them out on my blog; GoodiegoodieGluten-Free, GF Licorice (forget the brand name, but they are natural), Nana's cookie bars, Glutino Breakfast bars, GF oreo's, Baking 123 mixes, Bob's Red Mill Pancake mix. I really don't eat a ton of processed foods. I prefer fresh veggies and fruit, and on the occasion for a snack I'll have something processed. I do however prefer Glutino. They have great stuff! Oh and Aleias GF bread crumbs. If I think of more, I'll add them later.
