Hey David Thank you so much! It was so easy to transfer my blogger blog to wordpress! I am very happy now. It looks pretty good too. (http://allerjay.wordpress.com) Now, can you tell me how to delete the blogger blog? (I am sooooo not good at these…

Thing is when I was in high school I didn't understand what my mom was going through, I would bring pizza home and think nothing of it. I had no idea the pain and mental strain it did on her, and now that I've got it I realize what I did to her. I t…

Yeah, Ian, know what you mean. My sister-in-law (remember her guys, the one with a Ph.D from the box of Fruit Loops [still laughing over that one] ) I believe thinks that I just made this whole thing up to get attention. This recent episode with her…

The best/worst thing is when people try to persuade me into eating Gluten like its something I am willingly doing. Honestly, some people don't believe its a disease.. So frustrating

My mom who is allergic to gluten and dairy always has a reaction to Tapioca. I think it would help her out if they did have some kind of label on the front of the packages to tell her not to eat it. But it seems like Tapioca is in everything gluten…

And tapioca flour/starch. I hate the taste of tapioca. There should be a special warning label on products that contain this ingredient.

A former friend of mine would always assume that everything I ate was "healthy", even if it was brownies or cookies. One time she really made my day by buying me a $5 package of cookies, and then broke my heart by telling me I had to share them with…

I recently started a blog on blogger and I have to tell you that I find it frustrating after blogging on wordpress. I am actually thinking I might close down the blogger account and start over in wordpress.

Well, technically, you are correct. There is NO pill to keep you from getting glutenated, but I have Bentyl (antispasmodic) to help with the cramping that comes with it. I havent been glutenated, but recently became intolerant to corn and have the s…

I tell them that I feel sorry for them. I eat better than they do. It usually shuts that type up!

I actually think that's true, it was for me. Back when I first started and I cheated all the time, I wouldn't get as bad of a reaction when I would eat gluten. I could eat a corn dog and just get a tummy ache and nothing more. Now if I tried I'd be…

I agree with all of you! I have even had people tell me that the longer I stay gluten free, the worse reaction I will have if I get gluten later because my body won't be "used" to it. I also have a friend (I use this term loosely) that tells me I sh…

I love my best friend to death, but whenever I say I'm making something gluten free, like bread, she makes a face and responds with something like "that's just gross." Never mind she eats all my pretzels and likes the cookies, etc. I bring in.

What drives me nuts is when I tell someone I'm gluten free and the person informs me they "would die" if they could have bread/pasta/whatever. One, that's just ridiculous to say - if you were going to end up dangerously sick if you ate gluten, you'd…

Gluten free soda crackers

Soda crackers have always been (until my diagnoses) the thing I ate when I was sick with a flu. I find they settle my stomach and they are kind of a comfort food. Having said that, I am very pleased to tell you that I have a gluten free substitute. Thye are not hard and even though they aren't quite as puffy a… Continue

Gluten Free pumpernickel bread and spinach dip

One of my favourite things at family get-togethers was always my sister's pumpernickel bread and spinach dip.
I really didn't expect to eat it again after being diagnosed with CD, but here it is, and it is incredibly good!

Wrist bands to raise awareness.

WHILE DOING MY RESEARCH, I FOUND THIS ON www.Switch2GlutenFree.com I THINK IT IS A GREAT IDEA!!

GLUTEN FREE Wristbands are in stock!

"I was having a hard time reminding myself to eat gluten free. All my old habits would subconsciously come back and I would find myself reaching or thinking about something with gluten. I decided to get myself a LIVESTRONG wristband to support all diseases/cancers and as a constant reminder to myself to eat gluten free. It worked!"

"I decided to have… Continue

Hi Jayne: How lovely to hear from you, I am well but my husband is not doing so well and I have 2 cousins in the States battling cancer, one has breast cancer and the other colon so they are keeping me busy just trying to keep in touch with them to keep their spirits up. And of course the olympics also kept me busy couldn't tear myself away from them. So now I'm back to doing what I was doing before and that's just about next to nothing. I bought some vanilla pudding on the week-end, I'm going to try your recipe for your dream puffs, if I can find my recipe.

Thank you Jayne! I will have to check out your blog... I am brand new to this gluten-free thing and I need to find a good (and inexpensive) dessert recipe to bring to a Non-GF party this month. What do you suggest?
