For those of you that suffer from psoriasis (and I'm not sure if this will apply to eczema), my husband developed it when he was a teenager. He has gone through chemotherapy, medications, herbal remedies, everything you could think of. Shortly after…
I rarely eat oats but last night, I made a berry crisp with steel cut oats. I was told by a person who has Celiac that McCann's steel cut oats were safe. I made some baked goodie many months ago with these oats, and didn't have a reaction. I didn't…
Luce, whenever you want to send those recipes for testing, I'll be more than happy to do so! I am planning on doing some bread recipe testing this week. I'm tired of driving all over town to try to find a good brand, burning gas and spending a fortu…
Jennifer, do you have a ZPizza in your area? They have fantastic gf pizza and their sauces and toppings are wonderful! As for a homemade crust, I'm still working on finding a good recipe. If I ever find one, I'll be sure to post it to this site!
You assume correctly, Jason! It does get better once you find foods you like, and learn how to better avoid cross contamination. I'm not a huge fan of many of the pre-packaged gf foods, so I don't eat them much. I focus first on the things that are…
Kim, thank you for sharing your amazing story! I am so thrilled that everyone in your family is doing so well being gluten free! And you are one amazing mom!
When I first started cooking for a client with Celiac Disease (before I discovered my own gluten intolerance), I had this same concern with wheat-fed pork. I inquired about it on the United States Personal Chef Organization that I'm a member of, and…
I am personally thrilled to have Jenn join this wonderful forum! My husband & I got to meet her & her husband at a Tweet-up at PFChangs. She is a wonderful gf baker and culinary creator, and I can't wait for her to post some of her terrific recipes…

About Me
I am a personal chef in the Columbus, OH area. I specialize in GF cooking and baking. I also live the GF lifestyle. I am passionate about creating and remaking "regular" recipes, and converting them to delicious and tasty GF items.
Interests
Studying GF cooking and baking, my friends and family, and appreciating God's beautiful creation.
"One cannot think well, live well, love well, if one has not dined well." Virginia Woolfe
Favorite Gluten-Free Foods
I focus on what's naturally gluten free first; meats, fruits, and veggies. I love the science and challenge in converting all recipes to gf. If you have a Z Pizza close to you, you owe it to yourself to go! They have the BEST gf pizza! And, they roll all their pizza crusts in brown rice flour, to ensure that the air is not glutenized.

Great! Ha Ha -- you just reminded me of a Sunday morning ritual when I was in school in upstate NY. We would travel to Ithaca (other end of the lake), to a place called the Rongovian Embassy -- a bar that also served food, and we would consume Malaysian Fog-Cutters -- to clear our heads from the weekend fog-making. I wonder if there's a GF parallel?
Alison, you are the lucky winner of the $40.00 Gift Certificate to ZPizza! All I need is your mailing address, so that we can send you the gift certificate. Please send me a message with your address whenever you get a chance.
Oh, Thank you... Your so sweet! I love to hear about good things that happen for good people. How wonderful to have your recipe published, I love pancakes, and have not had a decent pancake in 4 years, the gluten free... I have tried just can't come close to the real thing...
