I wanted everyone to know that Holland America has added a nice incentive for booking my cruise soon. From now until March 23, you will recieve a coupon book worth more than $300 for on board services. See below for more details on this Alaska Cruise from Seattle. Call or email for more details. Phone is 977 255-1420. Also I'm working on a gluten free travel website, more details on that later.

Let us know what you think of the most recent review...Unusual because our crisps are not only wheat, gluten and sugar free, but they are also egg free and Low Carb. Celiacs or anyone looking for diabetic friendly and/low carb products (for a myriad of health issues) can now have a truly decadent crisp that surprises even the critics.
Besides this is a very entertaining as well as informative review....

I want to thank Karen Broussard for her post about my GF cruise. Since this cruise is in our backyard, so to speak, I would like to invite all of you to join us. I still have a good selection of cabins left. Call or email me for more details. See Karen's writeup below.
Thanks, Barbara

We just got word that NIght and Day Travel and Cruises in Portland has put together a Gluten-Free Alaskan cruise on Holland American's Zaandam for a week starting August 27. It departs from Seattle and stops in Juneau, Glacier Bay, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria. It's a fundraiser to benefit GIG of Portland. For more info, call travel agent Barbara Pugh at 971-255-1420/888-655-4850 or email barbara@sunconnections.com

Hi everyone...I just wanted to update you on an important new enhancement to GlutenFreeTravelSite ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com ). In addition to a streamlined new home page, we have added the ability to narrow your search of our database of 800+ gluten-free dining and travel reviews to the town/city or zip code level. The results come up on a Google map, and you can click on any establishment to read the user-submitted review.

To try it out, you can go to Search Reviews ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com/search.php ), choose a broad geographic location, and then click on the "narrow your search" link OR you can go directly to the mapping page at ( http://glutenfreetravelsite.com/maps/map-locator.php ).

We are proud to be the only review-focused site where you can get personal, detailed feedback on some of the world's most Celiac-friendly restaurants, grocery stores, hotels/resorts, and cruises. And you won't just find the "same old" list of chain restaurants you find on "directory-style" sites. Most places reviewed are independent restaurants, stores, and even B&B's you may not have even heard about.

We would very much love your help with something...please submit your own gluten-free dining reviews of your favorite local places -- or places you've traveled. That way, we can continue to help others on gluten-free diets find new and safe places to eat. We'd love some more reviews from the Pacific Northwest! It's super-easy and just takes a few minutes. Just go to Submit Review ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com/submit.php )

Hello everyone. Although I don't live in the NW I'm a frequent visitor. This year when I come to Portland in mid-March I'm bringing something special: my sourdough, GF, breadmaking workshops. For more information click here. Oh, and one more "gift." I'm offering this one day workshop for the special price of $50.

We are on Bainbridge Island in the Kitsap County area across the Puget Sound. Usually we meet on Bainbridge Island but this Sat. 30th of Jan. we are meeting in Port Gamble. You will need to take a ferry and drive to Port Gamble. See my posting on my blog or event posting.
We are meeting at Mike's Four Star BBQ 1-3 PM. He offers Gluten Free meats and BBQ sauce. He will also make homemade Old Mill Chips and French Fries for us.
I will need to know if you think you might be attending. Please RSVP by 1/28/10.
Thanks

Hi Everyone! I am sorry to say I will no longer be very active (and havne't been for a while -sorry!) in this group. I just moved to Indianapolis. I will miss all of the good eats the Seattle area seems to have - I suspect I won't have it quite so good out here, but we'll see!

Best to all,
Lynn

Would any of you all mind taking a minute or two to post a review of some of the places you've mentioned below on GlutenFreeTravelSite ( http://www.glutenfreetravelsite.com ). We are a review-based website where you can search or submit reviews of restaurants, hotels/resorts, cruise ships, and grocery stores that accommodate gluten-free diets. We have over 700 places reviewed around the world, and the review format gives you detailed and personal feedback from others following gluten-free diets. It's not just a directory-style listing of "safe" restaurants like some other sites offer. We could really use some more reviews of places in the Pacific Northwest. It's easy to submit a review and only takes a few minutes. It benefits not only those living in and traveling to your area, but it gives the restaurants and grocery stores that are so accommodating some free publicity during these difficult economic times. The site comes up high on search rankings for terms like "gluten free travel," "gluten free restaurant menus," and "gluten free restaurants," so we get a lot of traffic on the site, but again, I feel we could do better to help those living and traveling to the Pacific Northwest...which is why I'm reaching out to you all. You seem to have a lot places where you've had good experiences. Thanks for your support, and please let me know if you have any questions about the site or if I can be of any assistance.
