Try looking on glutenfreeregistry.com for places to eat and places to find GF food. They have a few places in Hawaii.

Anyone know of any stores or restaurants (mainly stores) on Long Island (around Garden City....)? I am a college student and fairly new to the gluten free diet and I am looking for places to go buy food to keep in my dorm room.

I just went to Finland and that country is just amazing for gluten free diets. Nearly every menu is marked with gf items, as well as items that are dairy free, soy free, etc. Plus, the grocery stores are very well stocked with gf items and they taste better than the ones in the US. I cannot recommend Finland enough.

I opened a restaurant in Grants Pass, OR. called The Vine. Since I have celiac we offer several gluten free options! I am always looking for great recipes!

Cayman Island Update: Well this wasn't the easiest vacation to go on in regards to accommodating my g-free diet needs ( The hotel we stayed at was not accommodating at all). However, the first night there we did go this Restaurant called the Lighthouse, and they were great. They were aware of the g-free diet, I gave my restaurant card to the chef and they were able to make me a safe meal. ( Downside was it was very expensive.) We also went to Chicken , Chicken. They make rotisserie chicken that are naturally g-free.

My family and I stayed at timeshare so we were able to do a lot of our own cooking which was good. At first we went to the IGA by the airport, but later in the week we wen to Hurely's to re-stock on food. If you are going to the Cayman Island's and shopping for g-free food go to Hurely's because they had a lot more of a selection.

Overall it was a great vacation, but I would suggest finding a hotel which you have access to a kitchen.

Went to Boston Pizza yesterday and had the Gluten Free Pizza, it actually tasted really good and they had lots of topping to choose from. Nice to enjoy Pizza, its been so long. I definitely will go back again. They only do the Personal Size Pizza but it was enough. I believe all their locations offer the GF crust.
