What kind of extra events/ dining socials would you be interested in? We are planning on offering 1 dining social a month for next year. Are there specific places you have in mind? Types of food? Do you prefer lunch or dinner? Share your thoughts!

Where: Mikuni's in downtown Sacramento located near the corner of 16th and J in downtown Sacramento. P.F. Chang's is on the corner and Mikuni's is next door, facing 16th Street.
Parking: It is mainly street parking (you do need to pay the meter, or there is a paid parking lot across the street)
Cost: Items range from $5-$15. To make payment as smooth as possible please bring cash.

Our first dining meeting of 2010 at Mikuni Sushi generally went off without a hitch, and would like to say thank you to the restaurant and thank you to all those that RSVPed and attended. In fact I believe everyone who RSVPed showed up early or on time, which is greatly appreciated.
We experienced a few minor issues, such as regular soy sauce being left on the table for a party that had strictly specified gluten free only, and some gluten-containing garnish accidentally making it onto a salad were the only real mistakes we all detected. Additionally, some food to go was sent off with regular soy sauce packets, but these were all minor mistakes that I'm sure over time the restaurant will get better about. Overall I think I can say everyone was generally pleased with their meal.
With a positively pleasant meal, and some great conversation, I think we all learned about something new related to gluten free, be it a product, a restaurant, or an antidote. With all that said, I invite you to take part in our March dining excursion for an early dinner at The Counter in Roseville, CA.
