Does anyone have any issues when trying to take probiotics? Or, are you ok taking them now, but they gave you "stomach issues" when you first started taking them?

When I first started taking probiotics I had horrible stomach issues. It seemed to take several months before it calmed down. Now I alternate homemade yogurt with coconut oil. Seems to be working great for me now. I definitely know when I do not have any, I get the oh so lovely prego belly.

What probiotics are you using?

I take "probiotics" everyday, never had a problem with them. Actually they are soothing for me, I get an awful candida rash in my mouth if I go for just a few days without some form. I can't be sure if it's connected to the Celiac or Diabetes, I just know yogurt and probiotics are my friend:)

Has anyone else been seeing the question - are all types of probiotics safe for celiacs or should we be avoiding some and using others? I have been seeing this more and more lately....

I do have tummy troubles when taking pro biotics. I am tryi g coconut oil, but think i may have statred with too much enthusiasm as i got horrendously nauseated for hours after taking just under a tbs. Could it be a herxing effect? Want to make my own yogurt, too. Any suggestions for good starters? Thanks!
