Pie By the Pound in Union Square, NYC claims to have gluten free pizza. They certainly don't. I went there and asked and they said, "No, but we have whole wheat! Would you like that?"
So sad.

OH man that sucks! I totally thought they did!! Risottoria has great pizza and so does Mozzarelli's in Chelsea. Also try Slice.

Have you heard about the guy in NC who was selling he BEST Homemade GF bread? I mean it was the best. He was selling it all over the Raleigh, Durham area and was , according to him, selling it to the military and hospitals, he only sold it to the public out of the goodness of his heart. Yeah, his lying thieving heart! Turns out he was buying this bread wholesale from an online bakery and repackaging it and selling it as Gluten Free. He was also selling sugared candied, jams and jellies as Sugar Free and they weren't. He put many people in the hospital.
He's been arrested for fraud. But that's all he can be arrested for because the FDA has no definition on what Gluten Free is!
He can get more for his Sugar Free labels, but, and this sounds horrible, he won't get as much for that because he didn't hurt as many people.
We as a Gluten Free community have to get behind our congressmen and women and demand that these labels are passed. They've been up before congress before but it keeps being shelved because of other things they try to piggy back on the bill, or because they run out of time. Well this proves we have run out of time. We can't trust labels.
I for one am afraid now to eat anything that isn't certified, or made by my own two hands.
Yes, I was one of the people who Paul Selig, of Great Specialty Products made very sick.

zPizza has the MOST DELICIOUS GF crust!! The trick to it is asking them to brush it with olive oil before they bake it. That way it turns out nice and crispy. So, SO good!!
